About the Nebraska Professional Fire Fighters Association

We are Nebraska's First Responders: The Nebraska Professional Fire Fighters Association is the AFL-CIO affiliated labor association representing more than 1,300 professional fire fighters and emergency medical personnel in Nebraska. Our goal is to ensure Fire Fighter Safety, provided we also deal with wages and benefits for all our members.

Specific duties include the following:

Advise or represent locals in contract negotiations, arbitration, or presentation before local governmental leaders.

Work in cooperation with our IAFF district vice president to organize new IAFF affiliates within the State.

Work in conjunction with the IAFF to deliver educational seminars on local union administration, grievances, contract negotiations, and Health and Safety classes.

Work to ensure Local, State, and Federal political leaders are informed and educated with our Fire Fighter safety in mind. We provide non-partisan support for those candidates who support us, whether they are Republican, Democrat, or Independent.
