About IAFF Local 1619

The Prince George’s County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics Association, Local 1619, was established by the International Association of Fire Fighters in 1966 and currently represents over 1,500 personnel. The members of Local 1619 respond to over 140,000 emergency calls per annum, protect approximately 500 square miles and serve nearly one million citizens.

Our Association is dedicated to ensuring that our members are provided with all of the tools that they require to ensure that the citizens and visitors of Prince George’s County receive the highest level of emergency medical service and transportation, fire protection, hazardous material mitigation and technical rescue services.

The Prince George’s County Professional Fire Fighters & Paramedics Association is the exclusive bargaining agent representing the Fire Fighters, Paramedics, and Civilian members of the Prince George’s County Fire & EMS Department. Our organization promotes a safe and healthy working environment for its members by the establishment of just and reasonable working conditions.
