About The Montgomery County Career Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 1664

The Montgomery County Career Firefighters Association IAFF Local 1664 was Chartered on October 24, 1966. The organization's primary goal was and always will be for the betterment of working conditions, healthcare, wages and pensions. The membership has grown from 23 members in 1966, to over 1600 members in 2020.

Over the years we have been successful with; Bill #42-87 in 1987 allowing us to become County employees, Collective Bargaining in 1989, Binding Arbitration in 1994, to 2005 - having a County Fire Chief. We have also worked to have many other bills passed to better our members over the years and continue the fight each and every day.
