IAFF Local 2598

Prince William Professional Fire Fighters is the Prince William County Affiliate of the International Association of Fire Fighters. Local 2598 represents over 650 uniformed  and non-uniformed members of the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. Our membership includes firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and support staff.

The purpose of Local 2598 is:

  • To endeavor in all ways to improve the fire and rescue protection rendered to the residents and visitors of Prince William County.
  • To render benevolent assistance to the members who may become ill or injured and to their survivors in the case of death or to the members of immediate families who are victims of disaster.
  • To endeavor in all ways to improve relations among fire and rescue personnel.
  • To endeavor in all ways to improve working conditions and benefits for fire and rescue personnel.
