About Your Park Ridge Professional Firefighters

The Park Ridge Fire Department was established in 1893 with volunteer firefighters. Today, the 48 full-time members of the Department provide fire suppression, emergency medical and other emergency services to approximately 37,480 residents within its jurisdiction.

Continuous training in firefighting and pre-hospital emergency medical care is provided to ensure proficiency in all areas. Members of the department are certified firefighters through the Office of the State Fire Marshal and are licensed paramedics through the Illinois Department of Public Health. The Department's EMS Division is operated under the guidance of the Advocate Lutheran General Emergency Medical System.

The Fire Department operates 1 engine company, 3 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, 1 Tower Ladder, a Heavy Rescue Squad, an Ambulance Assist Vehicle (Rescue) and 1 Command SUV. In addition, the department has 2 engines in reserve.
