2020 Virtual Relay For Life

Aug 30, 2020
Pictured above: Armando J. Mora at the grill during one of the many Relay for Life events he attended. On June 18, 2014 Mando lost his own battle to cancer and our Department was changed forever. We honor him again this year along with all others who have been affected by cancer. This year we will be working under safety guidelines and measures to raise as much funds as possible towards this noble cause, more information will be released in September.

2020 Santa Fe Springs Firefighters Covid Scholarship

Jun 23, 2020
This past Summer your Santa Fe Springs Firefighters extended 5 x $1000 scholarships to our local High Schools to assist the 2020 Senior class during these difficult times. Our membership remains solidly devoted to this community and a big part of that commitment is investing in our youth so they may attain the education and skills necessary to give back as adults. We thank Santa Fe High and St. Paul High for their cooperation and assistance throughout the scholarship process and we congratulate the recipients of this unique scholarship and wish them all good fortune with the path ahead.

Local 3507 Rolls their sleeves up for the Red Cross

This past August we partnered with the American Red Cross and City of Santa Fe Springs to host a blood drive to help our hospitals and patients in need of this vital resource. By bringing this essential public health event to our community we were also able to offer an opportunity for our donors to receive free COVID-19 antibody testing.

MDA Virtual Fill the Boot

For over 60 years the MDA has raised millions of dollars to help combat the terrible effects of neuromuscular disorders on individuals and families. Their work is just as valuable today as when it began, however, health risks and operational restrictions make it impossible to obtain these much needed funds through traditional means. Santa Fe Springs Firefighters have raised over $400,000 for the MDA since our involvement began in 2004 and we continue to support them under these new restrictions.
