About IAFF Local 4610

The Professional Emergency Medical Services Association of New Jersey (PEMSA-NJ), IAFF Local 4610 received its charter in October 2007. The local represents over 300 Emergency Medical Service Professionals and support staff, including Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Registered Nurses and Dispatchers working for New Jersey’s Hospital Service Corporation (MONOC).

PEMSA-NJ is currently one of the largest EMS locals in the IAFF with our professionals providing essential emergent and non-emergent medical services to several counties, municipalities, communities, hospitals, public agencies and secondary medical facilities in New Jersey. These services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The PEMSA-NJ membership responds to more than 150,000 needed medical service requests every year; the majority being emergency Paramedic (ALS) response. Other services handled by our members include Critical Care Inter-facility Transport, BLS inter-facility transport, and Air Medical Transport.
